How to keep your skin hydrated for summer

Today I will be giving you some great simple ways to keep hydrated during the summer time and even on a regular day! Keeping your skin moist and hydrated is very important, if not your skin will look very dry and cracked.

Water, Water, Water

  • Water is a very important thing to drink everyday to keep hydrated. Drinking lots of water keeps you hydrated on the inside and helps your skin stay healthy on the outside. Dehydration might make your skin look dry, dull and wrinkled up. Drinking water can help the appearance of your skin from looking extra dry, so make sure to drink lots of water especially during the summer when the temperature rises!!!

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

  • During the summer or even on a regular day there is no such thing as too much moisturizer or sunscreen. In spite of everything whether you are spending the day indoors or outdoors, you should invest in a good moisturizer with sunscreen to make sure your skin is always being protected.

Facials, Facials, Facials

  • For a youthful glow make sure to make facials a part of your monthly routine. At Liz Skincare, Liz will make sure to make your skin as smooth as a babies bottom, including deep poor extractions and exfoliations.

Great detox water recipe for weight loss and clear skin

A systemic cleansing and detox is definitely the way to go after each holiday. It is the key to fighting high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, and other health-related illnesses.

Lemon Berry Recipe
The first recipe I will be showing you Contains blueberries, raspberries, lemon, and water. The berries are good for maintaining a healthy weight, also provides fiber that is needed in our systems. Lemons aid in digestion and detoxification, also tricks the liver into producing bile, which helps keep food moving through your body and gastrointestinal tract smoothly. Last but not least water is great for proper circulation of nutrients in the body, and helps the skin do it's job of regulating the body's temperature through sweating. Water serves at the body's transportation system and when we are dehydrated things just don't get around as easily.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen
1 lemon, sliced
3 cups water, purified

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a large glass, cover with lid and allow to cool overnight in the refrigerator, drink throughout the day.

Blueberry Orange Recipe
This recipe contains water, mandarin oranges, blueberries, and ice. This recipe is for people that have a lot of issues with acne. Once again the water is great for skin hydration, so your skin doesn't get flaky and dry. Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C, also a very good source of dietary fiber. Blueberries also have fiber and help maintain a great weight. In addition, Ice is just like water.

Ingredients:

6 cups water
2 mandarin oranges,cut into wedges
a handful of blueberries
ice

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a pitcher and put in the fridge for 2-24 hours to allow the water to infuse. Serve cold.
