Wrinkles, The Aging Factor

What are Wrinkles? They are creases, folds or ridges in the skin, Usually start to appear as people start to age but also can develop after staying in the water for a long period of time. The most common wrinkles and tend to be the first ones on a persons face are caused by facial expressions.

Some of the cauzants for wrinkles to start to appear can be
  • dehydration
  • Sun damage
  • smoking
  • some medications
  • environmental and genetic factors

Often times they tend to be located on the face, neck, the back of the hands and the arms; which are commonly the areas that receive the most sun exposure.
As people get older, their skin gets thinner, drier, and less elastic, and less able to protect itself from damage.
When a person is young, the skin springs back, but as they get older, the skin loses its flexibility. Springing back becomes harder and less frequent, resulting in more permanent grooves.

Types of Treatments for Wrinkles

More ways to prevent or slow the aging process..

Along with these methods, people tend to also try Dermabrasion, Laser Therapy, Botox, Facelifts and Chemical Peels. Although these might cost you a pretty penny, like the saying goes "Beauty comes at a high cost".                                       Image result for wrinkles surgically

The two main types of wrinkles are surface lines and deep furrows. Most wrinkle treatments if they have any effect it will tend only reduce fine lines for more deeper creases, there are surgical treatments, injections or fillers.
Avoiding excessive sun exposure reduces skin damage, because the sun causes the skin to age faster. Quitting smoking can prevent the accelerated aging of skin. Even a long-term heavy smoker can slow down the process by giving up. Avoiding alcohol can also prevent them because it dehydrates the skin and body. Another tip might be sleeping well at least 7 hours a night, eating more healthy and balanced a regular exercising will maintain overall health which by consequence include healthier skin quality.

How often do you need a facial ?

A facial is a beauty treatment for your face. Facials use everything from oils, creams, gels and serums to electric currents, oxygen jets and massage to give you a cleaner, healthier, brighter skin. Specialists recommend that people have a professional facial about every three to four weeks. That's how long it takes your skin to move through the full life cycle of skin cell growth and exfoliation.

Main steps to a basic facial

  •   Skin analysis followed by a cleaning of the face.
  • Exfoliation (A gentle acid peel, ultrasonic exfoliation, microdermabrasion).
  • Steam.
  • Massage of the face and neck.
  • Manual extractions to clear out blackheads and clogged pores.
  • Mask ( Pore reduction, dry skin, oily skin, fine lines).

What are we aiming for by getting a facial done you may ask

  • To clean in order to get rid of the layer of dead skin cells and clean pores to help prevent acne.
  • To balance and improve the texture, general health and appearance of your skin.
  • To rehydrate (moisturize) and brighten your complexion.
  • To make you look younger, firmer, fresher and lovelier.
  • To maintain healthy skin.

How to keep your skin hydrated for summer

Today I will be giving you some great simple ways to keep hydrated during the summer time and even on a regular day! Keeping your skin moist and hydrated is very important, if not your skin will look very dry and cracked.

Water, Water, Water

  • Water is a very important thing to drink everyday to keep hydrated. Drinking lots of water keeps you hydrated on the inside and helps your skin stay healthy on the outside. Dehydration might make your skin look dry, dull and wrinkled up. Drinking water can help the appearance of your skin from looking extra dry, so make sure to drink lots of water especially during the summer when the temperature rises!!!

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

  • During the summer or even on a regular day there is no such thing as too much moisturizer or sunscreen. In spite of everything whether you are spending the day indoors or outdoors, you should invest in a good moisturizer with sunscreen to make sure your skin is always being protected.

Facials, Facials, Facials

  • For a youthful glow make sure to make facials a part of your monthly routine. At Liz Skincare, Liz will make sure to make your skin as smooth as a babies bottom, including deep poor extractions and exfoliations.

The Perfect Beauty Guide

1) Morning beauty ritual for your FACE

Some people love using cucumbers on their face every morning to freshen and rejuvenate the skin. This ritual is great, but it can be a little harsh, especially for sensitive and redness prone skin. So, here is an alternative way to do it:

  • Simply wipe your face in the morning with cold raw milk.
  • You can also mix the milk with cucumber juice and wipe your face with it using a cotton ball.
  • Rinse your face with cold water once you are done. Not only it will instantly freshen your face, but also, it will help cleanse your skin and improve your skin tone, leaving your face extremely soft, glowing and fresh.

2) Use coffee for the beauty of your HANDS

Yes, simple coffee that you drink every day can be used for skin care. Why coffee? Well, coffee grounds are a natural exfoliator. Exfoliation removes dead, dry skin cells from skin surface and enhances natural skin renewal process, making your skin look healthy and glowing.
Here is a good beauty recipe:

  • mix coffee grounds (from your morning coffee) with olive oil
  • Massage your hands with this homemade hand scrub for a couple of minutes
  • Use the same circular motions as those you do while applying your hand cream
  • Rinse your hands with lukewarm water. Your hands will feel very soft and gentle. If you do this twice a week, your hands will look wonderful!
3) Wonderful natural BODY scrub recipe
Finally, here is a recipe of a simple homemade body scrub (one of my favorites):

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of used coffee grounds
  •  1 tablespoon of sugar
  •  4 tablespoons of olive oil
  •  Massage your body with this scrub while in the shower, applying it in circular motions; especially concentrate on the areas with cellulite, on your legs and on dry areas of your body. You will notice an amazing difference on how this scrub will make your skin look and feel soft.

Simple Skincare tips for youthful looking skin

Simple Skincare tips for youthful looking skin. A wrinkle-free, beautiful glowing skin is desired, but not achieved by all. Like anything else, our skin also demands care and attention. Though the conserving time for taking proper care of the skin is difficult in today’s busy schedule, it is not impossible. You only need to dedicate a little time to keeping your skin wrinkle free and beautiful for a longer period. Let’s have a look at ways in which you can protect your skin:
  1. 1. Minimize the skin exposure to the sun: Though sunlight is a major source of vitamin D, overexposure to the sun accelerates the skin aging process. To avoid this, wear a hat, sunglasses, scarves, etc. to keep your skin protected from sunlight. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen lotion before leaving the house to protect the areas of your skin that get exposed to the sun.
  2. Lie on your back– Develop a habit of lying on your back when you sleep, and not on your sites as this restricts the chances of skin damage.
  3. 4. Follow a proper diet: There is no alternative to developing good eating habits when it comes to health, beauty and well being. Your daily food chart should be rich in fruits and vegetables. Fish are also great for the skin, especially oily fish like Salmon. Adopt a healthy and balanced diet as your everyday routine, and your skin will thank you.
  4. 5. Get enough sleep: If you want a beautiful glowing skin, you should get adequate sleep. That is 7-8 hours of shut-eye every night. Inadequate sleep increases the secretion of the hormone cortisol, which negatively impacts the skin.
  5. Use anti-aging products: Not all anti-aging products are effective, but if you use the right products, they can help you keep your skin hydrated, fresh and youthful.
