The Perfect Beauty Guide

1) Morning beauty ritual for your FACE

Some people love using cucumbers on their face every morning to freshen and rejuvenate the skin. This ritual is great, but it can be a little harsh, especially for sensitive and redness prone skin. So, here is an alternative way to do it:

  • Simply wipe your face in the morning with cold raw milk.
  • You can also mix the milk with cucumber juice and wipe your face with it using a cotton ball.
  • Rinse your face with cold water once you are done. Not only it will instantly freshen your face, but also, it will help cleanse your skin and improve your skin tone, leaving your face extremely soft, glowing and fresh.

2) Use coffee for the beauty of your HANDS

Yes, simple coffee that you drink every day can be used for skin care. Why coffee? Well, coffee grounds are a natural exfoliator. Exfoliation removes dead, dry skin cells from skin surface and enhances natural skin renewal process, making your skin look healthy and glowing.
Here is a good beauty recipe:

  • mix coffee grounds (from your morning coffee) with olive oil
  • Massage your hands with this homemade hand scrub for a couple of minutes
  • Use the same circular motions as those you do while applying your hand cream
  • Rinse your hands with lukewarm water. Your hands will feel very soft and gentle. If you do this twice a week, your hands will look wonderful!
3) Wonderful natural BODY scrub recipe
Finally, here is a recipe of a simple homemade body scrub (one of my favorites):

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of used coffee grounds
  •  1 tablespoon of sugar
  •  4 tablespoons of olive oil
  •  Massage your body with this scrub while in the shower, applying it in circular motions; especially concentrate on the areas with cellulite, on your legs and on dry areas of your body. You will notice an amazing difference on how this scrub will make your skin look and feel soft.

Learn how to conceal wrinkles

Learn how to conceal wrinkles
Sometimes you need a quick fix for a problem that has already occurred. In that case, you will need to take extra care of your skin.
  • Hydrate your skin:   As you get older, your skin becomes a bit dry. When the skin gets dry, wrinkles and fine lines get easy access, and the only solution is to moisturize the skin. Moisturizers help to lock the moisture and keep the skin hydrated for longer periods of time. Eventually, they help conceal your wrinkles, so they aren’t visible.
  • Make-up: This method is the easiest way to hide your fine lines and wrinkles. This quick and easy fix is only temporary, however, and it should be used in conjunction with the other sites that help solve the problem rather than conceal it.
  • Avoid excessive washing: Dermatologist believes that excessive washing can make your skin dry. When cleaned, the skin loses its natural oil and moisture that prevent wrinkles. To avoid this try washing your face only twice a day, and do so gently. Use a soft towel and gently pat your face dry.
  • Medical treatment: There are several medications and techniques that can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and make those fine lines less visible. Stressing on a regular basis, can cause pigmentation issues on the skin.

I have been flooded with numerous queries lately on ”skin whitening”

 Remember STOP stressing
Don’t Blame it all on the Sun.

The sun is responsible for most skin hyper-pigmentation, hence the nickname “sun damage.” But don’t blame it all on the sun. Stress, hormones, diet and inflammation from any trauma can all cause skin hyperpigmentation. Melasma, for example, is almost always caused by something other than the sun.

Well what about stress? Well, there are two stress hormones: epinephrine and norepinephrine, that are both dependent on Tyrosine. When you become stressed, cortisol rises and Tyrosinase is used to produce more of these stress hormones. Because your body cannot distinguish between the stress of a life threatening emergency and the stress over a final exam, it responds in the same way regardless of the circumstance. Stressing on a regular basis, therefore, depletes your body and could lead to issues with skin hyperpigmentation (among many other unpleasant skin issues.)

How to prevent pigmentation issues on the skin!

Always wear a sunscreen, especially during pregnancy or when you take oral contraceptives.

Try to stay in the shade during intense sunlight, especially between 10 am and 2 pm.

Gently cleanse skin, and use warm water to open your pores.

Gently exfoliate and then moisturize your skin every day.

Remember that some drugs like birth control pills and sleeping pills can cause pigmentation; the effects of these drugs should stop when you quit taking them.
